Sole Survivor Art Gallery supports the work of South Broadway Art Project located at 3816 South Broadway in St. Louis.  The partnership we are developing is a natural one.  Co-founders Sarah and Tim Bliss are our daughter and son-in-law.   South Broadway Art Project offers classes for children and adults including week long summer camps  Please use the links below for more information.  And be sure to let them know if you found their classes through this website.

SBAP is a 501c3 non-profit, visual art studio and organization co-founded by Tim and Sarah Bliss. Sarah Bliss, Executive Director:  “We have a mission to teach young people and adults how to enhance their own lives and their community through art.”

Sole Survivor is currently creating a series of classes in leatherwork to be offered in three sections:

Section I Fashion and Design
  The Fashion and design section is a great place for students of design or independent designers who would like to gain a working knowledge of footwear and accessory construction.  Courses will also be offered in general leather education.  Class session will be 4-6 hours in length meeting in several sessions over the course of several days. For those traveling from out of town, limited affordable lodging may be available.  Pricing will range from  $295-$1200
Section II Everyman Projects
These courses are offered to anyone who has a desire to “make their own”.  We’ll offer guided instruction on items such as knife cases, belts, tool cases/holders simple shoulder bags and more. Materials will be provided.  Pricing will begin at $60
Section III Historical and Reenactment Projects
This section is exactly as it sounds.  If your interests lie in the Society for Creative Anachronism or reenactments events such as Renaissance Fairs, Civil War Battles, Sci-Fi, etc, Steve is ready to design a series of courses to fit your  needs. Pricing to be determined.
Use of tools will be provided in all classesMaterials are readily available and for most classes, the materials will be included in the pricing.
Classes will be held in our working studio at 25 East Main St.
Open to anyone age 18 and up
(younger students aged 16-17 may be considered- see Steve)
